Usuthu were minutes away from clinching three points before Sibusiso Vilakazi popped up with an equaliser to earn Sundowns a point.
The Usuthu boss reveals the late goal left a bitter taste in his mouth after the game.
“I thought it was a good game of football,” Johnson told SuperSport.
“I thought my players did very well. They played very well.
“We planned for the goals and we got it.
“In saying that we expected goals, with five minutes to go and you throw it away. Sometimes it leaves a bitter taste in your mouth.
“I thought we had Sundowns against the ropes and I think we should have won it, but all in all it has been a great game of football. I think one of the better games this year.”
