Goalkeeper Kalililo Kakonje, formerly with Golden Arrows and Nathi Lions, signed with Usuthu this morning after agreeing a two-year contract, though he will only be available after the African Cup of Nations finals, where he will represent his country.

Club PRO, Philani Mabaso, also announced that midfielder Mohammed-Awal Issah is back from injury, together with Mpho Maleka and Belux Bukasa Kasonga, who will all be available for the crucial Absa Premiership game against Orlando Pirates at Absa Stadium on Sunday.

"Kalililo has proved to be one of the best players in Zambia and being part of the Chipolopolo squad shows that is a quality player," Mabaso told snl24.com/kickoff. "However, he will only start training with the team after the Nations Cup."

"All the players that form the backbone of the team are back and it will be interesting to watch the battle between Teko Modise and Mohammed-Awal Issah in midfield," he says.

"I would like to urge all our supporters to converge on Absa Stadium to see us burying Pirates alive!"

Usuthu fans will also have chance to watch the AmaZulu Legends play a curtain-raiser against Bhizani Masters at 13h00.

"We want to use the game on Sunday against Pirates as a way to thank our fans for their support this year and also to give them a Christmas present by beating Pirates."

Sugar Ray Xulu, Ace Mnikathi, Eric Nduna and Thulani Hlatswayo are just some of the Legends that will be on show.
