ANC conference forces game postponement

The tie pitting the two clubs whose rivalry stretches from the time when Aces where still City Pillars and based in the same town – Polokwane – has now been postponed indefinitely.

Word reaching snl24.com/kickoff is that the match has been postponed due to lack of accommodation this weekend because of the ANC conference being held in the Limpopo province capital.

But both clubs have apparently shown displeasure about having to be forced not to play this weekend.

β€œThe game has been called off because of the ANC conference. Had those responsible for fixtures at the PSL really wanted the programme to go on smoothly, they should have made alternative plans a long time ago because it has always been known that the conference will be held this weekend. Bookings could have just been done well in advance,” says a source.

While Aces and Winners Park, who are third and fourth respectively on the standings, will not be active this week the rest of the clubs will play this weekend.
