Bafana Bafana and Atlas Lions will meet for the fifth time – the first friendly though – at the new Agadir Stadium, with both still licking their wounds after failing to reach the final stage of 2014 World Cup qualifying.

Coach Gordon Igesund indicated upon naming his squad that the focus was now on building for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, as well as next year’s African Nations Championship (CHAN), which features only locally-based players and will be held in South Africa.

“Half of the team I selected will represent us in the CHAN, while the others will feature in the [2015 AFCON] qualifiers, so it’s a two-pronged approach,” Igesund said.

The last time the Bafana and Morocco played was at the nations Cup earlier this year, when Siyabonga Sangweni’s late goal secured a 2-2 draw.
