Bafana coach Owen da Gama upbeat after victory over Guinea-Bissau

Bafana dispatched the Wild Dogs via goals from Kermit Erasmus, Percy Tau and Andile Jali at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday.

Da Gama told SABC TV: "Look it was a difficult ball to juggle, we had to integrate the [Kamohelo] Mokotjos, the Erasmuses into the setup. We saw a lot you know. It augurs well for our preparations. What is more important is to understand which players fit in the positions. I think it was unbelievably good."

He added: "All our focus this week was on combination play, that is our game. If we are in possession nobody can take it away from us. Yes, we were sluggish at times, but it's about integration and building an understanding. It was a positive result."

Bafana next host Angola in a friendly in East London on Tuesday.

SAFA are set to name former coach Shakes Mashaba's permanent successor after the matches.
