SuperSport United grant SAFA permission to engage with coach Stuart Baxter

As reported on today, SAFA have approached the Scotsman as they look to fill the vacant Bafana Bafana head coach role.

Whilst the club appear to be willing to let their coach go they have stipulated that he would have to remain in charge until the end of the current campaign were he to get the national team job.

A statement from Matsatsantsa read as follows: "SuperSport United FC has given permission to The South African Football Association (SAFA) to engage their Head Coach Stuart Baxter with a view to him becoming the Head Coach of Bafana Bafana.

If negotiations between SAFA and Mr Baxter are successful, and SuperSport United and SAFA agree on an early termination of Mr. Baxter's current contract, such appointment would only be effective at the end of the current PSL season, officially commencing 1 July 2017."
