SAFA president Danny Jordaan last year confirmed that they would be putting South Africa’s name in the hat to host the showpiece in four years time, but there are many other countries interested to have the competition on home soil. Nine associations have shown an interest, which is a record number of countries since the tournament was first played in 1991.
