Davids, who plays for Djurgardens, has been on trial at both English Premiership sides Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United over the past few weeks and the London Daily Telegraph reported that the Amaglug-glug midfielder has returned to Blackburn where he is being monitored by Mark Hughes for a second time.

Davids, who has progressed in leaps and bounds this season, is scheduled to join Carlos Alberto Parreira and the Bafana Bafana squad in Durban on Saturday when they go into camp ahead of the African Nations Cup.

“Things went very well at Blackburn and Mark Hughes has already asked me to return for a few days,” he told KickOff.com after his first trial stint at the club where Aaron Mokoena and Benni McCarthy ply their trade.

“Hopefully I can make a good impression here as well. I feel that at this stage of my career I would like to move to a bigger club and Djurgardens know this.

“I have their full backing although they would like to keep me for at least another season,” he added.
