Dzeko, 32, will become the most capped player with his 95th appearance for the European nation against Austria tonight after over a decade of consistent displays.
With a current record of 52 goals and 20 assists since making his international bow in 2007, the AS Roma forward holds a better goal to game ratio than five-time Ballon d'Or winners Ronaldo and Messi.
Considering the stature of The Dragons, his international teammate Miralem Pjanic feels his exploits have often gone unnoticed but refutes claims that he's underrated.
"I don't think he's under-rated - he's done great things recently," Pjanic told Omnisport about the only striker to score more than 50 goals in three of Europe's top-five divisions.
"For the national team he's the guy who's scored the most goals. We know that he's important. He does important things for his club. I think he's a great player, so he's not under-rated."
