Brazil coach Tite: Neymar best in the world

The Barcelona man has been in sparkling form for both club and country after his six goals in qualifying have seen Brazil become the first country to secure a place at next year’s World Cup.

Neymar’s double also inspired Barcelona to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League after their remarkable comeback against Paris Saint-Germain.

"In the last four months, the best is Neymar," said Tite, who steered the Samba Boys to victory in all eight of their World Cup qualifiers.

Tite handed Neymar the captain’s armband for Brazil’s clash against Paraguay last month, and he led his country to a 3-0 win.

"I told him I wanted him to feel comfortable in that role," Tite added.

"Neymar replied, 'You can count on me. I'm ready.'"
