The club says it can confirm that it has received an invitation to play the derby against Kaizer Chiefs on November 24 at the Absa Stadium in Durban as part of the celebrations to mark the draw of the 2010 Fifa World Cup qualifiers in Durban on November 24.

It adds that this request will be discussed by management later this week and an official statement will be issued once all the matters have been dealt with.

Kick Off carried a report last week that the KwaZulu Natal government were looking to have the game switched from Ellis Park to Durban.

Kaizer Chiefs queried the report and Andrew Dipela, general manager of the PSL replied that they had not received an approach regarding any change from the hosting club, Pirates, and as far as they were concerned the match was still scheduled for Ellis Park.
