Bulu's injury adds pressure on Chiefs

Bulu sustained a broken nose when he was blatantly elbowed by Maritzburg United’s Gary Goldstone in a tense Absa Premiership clash played at Chatsworth Stadium yesterday.

Bulu, who was making his full debut on Sunday scored earlier and is now certain to miss the MTN 8 final in Durban on Saturday, adding further pressure on coach Muhsin Ertugral.

Amakhosi coach, Muhsin Ertugral tells that Bulu is still to undergo surgery, despite receiving several stitches to his nose in a Durban hospital last night .

“The injury is terrible and at this moment I am not sure how long he is going to be out of action. I understand he is still to under go an operation.”

Ertugral has since described the brutal elbow by Maritzburg United defender, Gary Goldstone on Bulu as a ‘criminal offence’ and added that Goldstone deserves to pay all Bulu’s medical expenses.

“Bulu will be out for a month as his nose is fractured. His face is very badly swollen. He must wait until the swelling has gone down and then Tshepo will be seen by a specialist to reassess the damage and what the prognosis is,” Ertugral says on the club’s website.

The Turkey-born mentor who was celebrating his 49th birthday today, faces the prospect of facing the Brazilians at the weekend without the services of Zimbabwean Tinashe Nengomasha, who has returned home to attend to the burial of his sister who died at the weekend.

However, Chiefs’ Venezuelan striker Jose Torrealba, who was serving a suspension is likely to take his place in the line-up for the 20h15 kick off.
