CAF Champions League wrap 13 April 2019

Wydad Casblanca hammered Horoya 5-0 in their quarter-final second-leg to advance to the last four of the competition.

A double from Walid El Karti in the first 30 minutes was complemented by Abdelatif Noussir in the 34th minute, before Mohamed Nahiri and Zouhair El rounding off the scoring in the second half.

Wydad will now lock horns with Sundowns, who they faced in the group stages.

Mazembe overturned a 1-0 deficit to thump Tanzania’s Simba 4-1 at the Stade TP Mazembe on Saturday.

The five-time African champions were comprehensive victory after last week’s goalless draw in Dar-es-Salaam.

Mazembe cancelled out Emmanuel Okwi’s second-minute opener with a 23rd minute leveller from Kabaso Chongo with a 38th minute strike from Elia Meschak following suit.

Tresor Mputu added to Simba’s woes on 62nd minute with Jackson Muleka completing the rout after 75 minutes.

Defending champions Esperance had no issues getting past Constantine with a 3-1 second-leg victory, resulting in a 6-3 aggregate triumph.

A double from Saad Bguri in the opening 20 minutes paved the route to victory for the Tunisians, with Franck Kom adding a third four minutes to the end.

The visitors were on the score board 62 minutes in the second half through an effort from Dylan Bahamboula, but it proved to be nothing more than consolation.
