CS Sfaxien are in the driving seat in the battle to reach the final of the CAF Confederation Cup against RSB Berkane, while Zamalek will take a slight advantage in to the second leg against Etoile du Sahel.

Zamalek 1-0 Etoile du Sahel

Egyptian outfit Zamalek gained the upper hand in a battle to reach the final of the CAF Confederation Cup after edging Etoile du Sahel 1-0 in the semi-final first-leg on Sunday night in Alexandria.

Kahraba scored the only goal of the match for the hosts nine minutes before the break.

Zamalek will be confident heading to the second leg next Sunday in Tunisia having not conceded an away goal, although the tie is still very much in the balance.

CS Sfaxien 2-0 RSB Berkane

Tunisian giants CS Sfaxien made a strong claim in a bid to reach the final of the Confederation Cup after beating RSB Berkane 2-0 in their first-leg tie on Sunday evening in Sfax.

Alaeddine Marzouki found the opener for the hosts in the 29th minute while Hamza Mathlouthi doubled their lead two minutes after the break from the penalty spot.

The two unanswered goals in the first-leg put Sfaxien in the driving seat to reach the final ahead of the second-leg in Morocco next Sunday.
