Cairo Derby: Zamalek vs Al Ahly Egyptian Premier League clash to hold 30 fans at Borg El Arab Stadium

accreditation

In a matchup between two of the most successful club's in Egyptian football and the African continent with 156 major titles between them - the current state of the league table will spark this historical rivalry to even greater heights.

Despite the head of Egypt FA’s competition committee Amer Hussein confirming only 30 fans will be allowed to attend to fixture - the significance of the result will remain telling with two points separating league leaders Zamalek and second place Al Ahly with 12 rounds of fixtures remaining.

Martín Lasarte's side comes into the fixture buoyed with confidence with nine consecutive top-flight victories, while also winning three of their last encounters against the White Knights.

However, the home side have been on an equally impressive run with only one defeat from their last 10 games across all competitions as they maintain their relentless pursuit to win their first league title since the 2014/15 season.

With the Red Devils often rotating their squad due to CAF Champions League and Arab Cup commitments, they've not had an outright goal-scorer leading their charge for a 41st league title.

Marwan Mohsen, 30, is their top scorer in the league with five goals in 11 games but Nigeria striker Junior Ajayi could be a key figure. Since his return from injury, he's netted four goals in eight games.

The Clasico El Arab will kickoff at 19:00 (SAST) on Saturday, March 30.
