Celtic No1 fan, Botha Msila Siwelele says they will give the same support to a new coach taking over the reins at the Free State-based team.
“Let Khabo Zondo go but as Bloemfontein Celtic supporters we say we still love him and were let down by disappointing results.
“We want to thank him for the services he rendered to the team and we want to assure the new coach that he will receive the same support as we gave Zondo. We will respect any coach that is appointed by management.
“There was a report that some of the players were not happy with Zondo and now that he has left, it is their duty to take Celtic to a respectable position on the log.
“We will continue to support the team, players and management and ensure there is a spirit of unity at the club.”
Meanwhile, former Mamelodi Sundowns’ coach Gordon Igesund denies that he has been approached to join Celtic.
Igesund says he has not been approached by Celtic’s management in respect of a job offer.
“I have heard all the rumours and they are not true,” he added.
Celtic CEO Ike Augousti tells snl24.com/kickoff that they are in no rush to appoint a new coach and that they are still open to hear from both local and international coaches.
“We can’t disclose any names now but we are talking to agents. We want to bring the best coach to Bloemfontein Celtic”
Augousti added that David Modise and Simon Gopane will sit on the bench when they play against Black Leopards on Sunday.
