Celtic out to stop United on Sunday

Celtic PRO Sello Nduna says Matsatsantsa should not buy the champagne to celebrate yet and quickly reminds them of what happened during their meeting in the SAA Super Cup final in 2005.

“It’s unfortunate that Supersport United is visiting us just when we have regained our form, even though we lost against Chiefs on Wednesday.

“Believe me, there is no way that we will allow Supersport to celebrate at our expense and at our own Stadium on Sunday.

“They beat us in the first round, but this time I want to remind them about September 18, the SAA Super 8 cup final in 2005. We will repeat it again on Sunday.”

Despite the warning bells from the Free State, United’s coach Gavin Hunt has remained tactful about getting all three points against Phunya Sele Sele and delivering the Absa trophy to Tshwane.

“Our destiny is in our own hands; we can’t rely on to do us favours. Our preparations for the game are going well and we will be doing our last training session tomorrow morning before heading for Bloemfontein".

Both teams have declared clean bill of health in their respective camps, with Matsatsa ntsa also welcoming back defender Bongani Khumalo who missed their game against Golden Arrows on Wednesday due to suspension.

Judging about their performance on Wednesday against Abafana Bes’thende, there will be no reason for Hunt to change his starting line up especially at the back where Sboniso Gaxa, Thabo September, Tsietsi Mahoa and Ricardo Katza formed a Berlin Wall in defence.

Celtic boss and coach Jimmy Augousti is probably spending sleepless nights trying to find a formula to stop striker Katlego Mashego from scoring against his side.

Mashego, who has been in superb form in front of goals is set to give the likes of Gary Goldstone, Tumelo Nhlapo and Thabo Nthethe a torrid time on Sunday.

Celtic striker Petrus Mahlatsi is also quickly regaining his form after spending some time on the sidelines due to injury and could be the man to bring smiles to Siwelele and paint the City of Roses green and white on Sunday.
