The game was originally scheduled to be played at Loftus Stadium in Pretoria, but due to maintenance work at the ground, the clubs have agreed to play the game at the Absa Stadium.

“Loftus Stadium will be closing this weekend and will only re-open sometime in April as they will be doing maintenance work on their pitch,” acting General Manager for Football at the PSL, Dan Leboa, said. “After careful consideration, Absa Stadium in Durban was available and the game will now take place there.”

The match will be played on the same date and kick-off is scheduled for 20h00.

In other changes, Yebo Yes United will now host FC AK at the Meadowlands Stadium instead of the Johannesburg Stadium, while the kick-off for the game between African Warriors and Moroka Swallows has been shifted from 15h00 to 20h00.

Commenting on the changes, Nedbank’s Head of Group Sponsorship, Andy Scott, was satisfied that matches will be evenly spread around the country.

“We are extremely happy that almost all the major cities in South Africa will be hosting big games. We are basically covered and the beautiful game, through the Nedbank Cup will reach all corners of South Africa,” Scott said.
