Chiefs want points, not revenge

Whilst coach Muhsin Ertugral is hoping that Shaun Bartlett will be back for the clash after being rested for game against Swallows yesterday due to injury, the coach will have to reshuffle his defence again on Sunday following the suspension of defender Fabian McCarthy. McCarthy picked up his third yellow card following a rough tackle on James Chamanga in the second half.

Ertugral tells snl24.com/kickoff that he has wasted no time in preparing for the game against Sundowns but adds that their mission in Pretoria on Sunday is not for revenge but to collect all three points.

“We should have finished off the game in the first 20 minutes but we allowed Swallows to pick up their game. They resorted to rough play and this affected my players and I think the referee was little lenient; at least one player from Moroka Swallows deserved a red card.

“However, the victory against Swallows is now behind us. We are returning back to training today. Sundowns are a big team and games against them are always hard so we need to be well prepared. They beat us in the Nedbank Cup but on Sunday it is all about the three points at stake. We will look for revenge in another Cup game, not on Sunday.”

“Bartlett is carrying a minor injury but I am confident that he will be fit come Sunday,” Ertugral adds.

Meanwhile tickets for the much at Loftus Stadium are already on sale. The Brazilians, who enjoy a home ground advantage, have already issued a statement that the match will be strictly an all 'ithikithi esandleni' affair and that no tickets will be sold at the stadium.

Tickets are available at Computicket and Shoprite\Checkers outlets countrywide.
