Chintu, who has won the hearts of Ea lla Koto fans through his never-say-die approach to his game, pulled a hamstring in their midweek game against Moroka Swallows which they lost 2-0.
The Zambian international was rushed to a nearby hospital at half-time to get treatment.
_quotePrior to this game, Stars had maintained a hundred percent record at their Goble Park base.
The sad news for Ea lla Koto supporters is that Chintu has been ruled out for their next match away to Pirates at Johannesburg Stadium.
However, Stars’ Brand Manager Rantsi Mokoena is not concerned about the player’s absence.
“We have a bagful of good defenders, like Christopher Tsotetsi, Sipho Nkosi and Zakia Makoanyane, to pick out a replacement,” he tells snl24.com/kickoff.
“Chintu has been released from hospital and is doing pretty well. He will be back in action soon,” Rantsi says.
