Coupe de France Paris Saint-Germain v Nantes 03 April 2019

After a quiet start, the home side finally grabbed the lead on 29 minutes when unselfish play from Kylian Mbappe set-up Marco Verratti, who drilled into the bottom corner.

In a rare foray, Nantes looked for a come back on 43 minutes but Kalifa Coulibaly’s header flew past Alfonso Areola’s goal.

The visitors continued searching for an equaliser earlier in the second half, but Abdoulaye Toure’s effort from outside the box failed to beat Areola.

PSG received a penalty four minutes after the hour mark when Nicolas Pallois handled in the area. Mbappe though failed to double their lead with a poor execution.

Nantes were reduced to 10 men after 72 minutes when Coulibally gave the man in the middle no choice following a second bookable offence.

Mbappe atoned for his earlier miss from the spot when he delighted the home crowd with a quality finish from the penalty spot.

In time added on, Dani Alves grabbed their third for the home side after finishing off an pass from Verratti to set up a meeting with Rennes in the final.
