Coyle has been training with Swallows for about a month after being shown the door at Orlando Pirates.
“I am still training with Swallows,” says Coyle, “But I don’t think I will continue training here for a long time. I am enjoying myself because it keeps me away from trouble, but I am still waiting to get word from the club.
“I don’t know where I stand right now, but I am still holding out hope. I think it is a bit difficult for the coach to really have a good look at me because of all the games that they have to play in mid-week. I mean he has to worry about his players first. But it is good that I am being treated well here and keeping fit,” says Coyle.
It is now almost two years since Coyle returned from Russia but luck seems to have deserted him as his career has stalled, with a stint at Supersport United also bearing no fruit.
Coyle has played just eight minutes in all the time that he was at Pirates.
“It is difficult for me to think about retiring at a time when I feel I should be putting something back into the local game from what I gained abroad,” he adds.
