Crunch clash for tail-enders tomorrow

Kick off is at 15h30.

Placed last on 10 points, Thanda have claimed six points from their last five league matches, the same tally as Leopards, although Boebie Solomons’ side have lost on three of their last four outings.

Leopards took full advantage of Mamelodi Sundowns’ woes to record a shock away win over the champions last week, but on Saturday evening they stumbled to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of BidVest Wits.

Thanda claimed a hard-earned point with a draw at Seisa Ramabodu against Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday – a result that demonstrates the strugglers have plenty of spirit and determination, characteristics they will need in abundance if they are to get themselves off the bottom of the table.

Yet this fixture presents them with a chance to do just that, as a win would see them move one point ahead of Lidoda Duvha (placed 13th on 12 points).

The teams have met just twice in the league, with Leopards taking four points off the old Benoni Premier United last season, although their last clash saw the Rabbits emerge 3-1 victors in the first round of the Absa Cup in late February this year.
