Dan Malesela admits he has a lot of work to get TS Galaxy to improve

Galaxy were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Ubuntu Cape Town at Kameelrivier Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The hosts had to come from behind to secure a point, as the search for a first victory in the First Division continues for the side owned by former agent Tim Sukazi.

Malesela, who had just over a week with the team during the international break, says they need to work on minimising mistakes at the back and also make sure they bury the chances they create.

“It’s been a challenging period, but obviously one that is expected, trying to build something from this team,” the man known as 'Dance' said after the match.

“We said we need to push for the three points because when you play at home you need to dictate things and try as much as possible to gain three points, which we didn’t. So we need to go back and look at where we went wrong and what we need to fix and we will take it from there.

“There’s quite a lot of things that need to be fixed. We need to work on our defence so that we can be solid. We also need to have that instinct of wanting to score goals.”

Galaxy will be away to Real Kings at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Saturday (15h00).
