England's Gareth Southgate calls-up teen & two Championship stars among six uncapped players

James Maddison (21), Jadon Sancho (18) and Mason Mount (19) have been named in the England squad for the first time.

Leicester City playmaker Maddison, Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Jadon Sancho and Derby's on-loan midfielder Mount have earned rave reviews this season but were expected to be selected for the U21s.

Sancho has scored one goal and registered eight assists across all competitions for Dortmund this season- despite only starting two games, both in the UEFA Champions League.

Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley returns to the squad for the first time since May 2016.

There are six uncapped players in boss Gareth Southgate's 25-man squad.

Fulham goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli, Southampton's Alex McCarthy and Watford midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah are the other uncapped players.
