Ligue 1

Nantes 2-1 Olympique Lyon

Olympique Lyon seem to be losing their grip on third spot following a 2-1 loss Nantes at Stade de la Beaujoire - Louis Fonteneau.

The home side went ahead after just 11 minutes in to the first half, with Kalifa Coulibaly firing past Anthony Lopes.

Lyon restored parity shortly before the break thanks to Martin Terrier's sixth league of the season.

However, Nantes got the winning goal with seven minutes remaining in the second half through Anthony Limbombe.

The loss gifts fourth-place Saint-Etienne the chance to move within three points of Lyon this weekend.

Bundesliga

Nurnberg 1-1 Schalke

Nurnberg missed the chance to move within a point of the play-off spot after drawing 1-1 with Schalke on Friday evening.

The home side squandered a chance to take a first-half lead when Hanno Behrens's penalty was saved by Schalke shot-stopper Alexander Nubel.

Nurnberg did eventually manage to open the scoring in the 82nd minute through Yuya Kubo's header, however Matija Nastasic secured a point for Schalke by heading home the equaliser four minutes later.
