Assistant coach, Collen Tlemo is of the opinion that Ezenkosi showed against the Buccaneers that they have what it takes to claw their way back up the ladder even at this late stage of the season.
“The game against Pirates showed that we can play good football. We were able to create chances and get into the box. That’s what we should do in all the remaining games.”
“All the remaining games are very important. Santos are playing very well at the moment and have been unstoppable since Major Bright took over,” Tlemo says on the club’s website.
“We are bracing ourselves for a tough one since we are playing away. Our results against them down there are not very good and we must change that.
“The wind has always been a factor but now that we are aware of those conditions we have to try and work out a solution and overcome that and, hopefully get a result.
“We have to do what we did against Pirates and capitalise on the chances we create,” says Tlemo.
Players that are definitely out of contention for Friday’s match at Athlone Stadium include the injured Sipho Sephadi, Sammy Magalefa, who is due to undergo knee surgery, Nkanyiso Zondi, who also has a recurring injury and Morgan Gould, who is suspended following his red-card in the game against Pirates.
Kick off is at 20h00.
