Feindouno gets two-match ban

accreditation

The inspirational midfielder was sent off the pitch in Thursday’s keenly contested game between Morocco and Guinea, which the Syli Stars finally won by three goals to two.

Feindounou’s violent retaliation to Moroccan defender El Armine Erbate’s high-foot in the 67th minute of the encounter was clearly seen by South African referee Jerome Damon, who quickly issued a red card to the St. Etienne player.

This decision from CAF means the player will not only miss the team’s final group game against Namibia, but also the quarter-final fixture, should the Guineans make it through to the next stage of the competition.

The Guinean team will surely miss their influential playmaker, who has scored two goals so far for the team in this year’s tournament.
