Kick off is at 15h00.

Aces could only draw 1-1 with Inland Stream champions FC AK at home this past Sunday, leaving them in fifth place on the log, just three points off the pace of Dynamos, who qualified for the playoffs alongside Bay United from the Coastal Stream.

Now Aces will have to put their disappointment behind them and focus on the chance for a lucrative spot in the last four of South Africa’s premier cup competition.

Their opponents, Nathi Lions, finished third in the Coastal Stream but they were a whopping 11 points adrift of play-off qualifiers Bay United and a further two behind champions Maritzburg United.

Both sides have knocked out Premiership clubs on their way to the quarterfinals. Aces secured their place in the Last 32 with a 1-0 win over Ga-Rankuwa United and then proceeded to shock PSL side Thanda Royal Zulu 2-0.

In the Last 16, they came through a difficult encounter against AK, winning 1-0 thanks to former Kaizer Chiefs striker Kabamba Musasa.

Lions, meanwhile, defeated the University of Pretoria in the preliminary round and then saw off NW Shining Stars in the Last 32. The big scalp of Jomo Cosmos followed next, as Lions held the PSL team to a goalless draw away from home before winning the cup tie on post match penalties.
