First Division not an option for Dinha

The former Zimbabwean international says his traumatic experience at a cash-crisis hit FC AK last season taught him a valuable lesson.

Dinha tells Kick Off that his current club-hunting mission is almost over as he is currently talking to some PSL clubs.

“I’m not tied to any club yet, but going back to the First Division is not an option,” says the 34-year-old who arrived in South Africa in 1998 and joined the now defunct Seven Stars in Cape Town.

“This is the first time in my career that I have gone for such a long period without a club, so when I do start playing again, I will obviously be far hungrier than before.

“I was merely training at Garankuwa to keep fit and there was no way that I was ever going to join them. I don’t care whether things are done differently at other First Division clubs; I don’t want to risk a repeat of the frustrations that I went through.

“That spell really put the brakes on my career and so I have decided to stay in the PSL until I finally hang up my boots,” he says.
