Fredericks has lodged the complaint against Bucs for unpaid salaries since July this year, despite the fact that he was still training with the team.

The League’s prosecutor Zola Majavu tells Kick Off that Bafana Bafana midfielder lodged his complaint against the Buccaneers last week. He added that the case will be heard shortly.

“Unfortunately I cannot give exact details of the amount allegedly owed to Stanton Fredericks as I am presently in Rustenburg and the documents are in the office.

“At the moment all I can confirm is that the player has lodged a complaint over unpaid salaries."

Efforts to get hold Floyd Mbele and Shakes Mashaba at Pirates to establish the reason behind Fredericks claim proved unsuccessful as both were unavailable.

Club communications manager Mickey Modisane has promised to give Kick Off information regarding the claim later in the day.

“I still have to get facts from the management before I can give out information regarding the matter.”
