Lebese was set to start playing for Ga-Rankuwa in January after been given a life line by former coach Kenny Ndlazi who has since left the team.
Club CEO Abraham Ratlhagane tells snl24.com/kickoff that Lebese would not be signed, however he did not disclose the reasons for their change of mind after promising to sign the player earlier.
Neither would he say whether their decision was linked to Ndlazi’s departure.
Ratlhagane also adds that the club has not received any correspondence from the CMMA regarding claims by William Lerefolo and Saul Molapo in respect of alleged unpaid salaries.
“We have only read about the players’ claims in media. There has not been anything official from either the players or the League about their claims.”
