At a press conference at the SA Embassy in Berlin on Friday, Zille signed a memorandum of understanding with German non-governmental organisation Power-child for the establishment of a drug rehabilitation and child care facility in Cape Town.
The agreement will see R10m invested in a complex of buildings, sporting and medical facilities that will be specifically designed to care for children affected by drug addiction, abuse or abandonment.
Power-child have stated that they see this project as a pilot that will be followed by other similar initiatives.
