Geyer tries out with Swallows

Geyer was recently released by Ajax Cape Town after a spell on the sidelines with injury.

A graduate of the famed Ajax development, Geyer, who also briefly featured for Amaglug-glug in the aftermath of the Wonke Wonke project, started training with the Birds last week Tuesday.

Geyer’s arrival at the club for trials has been facilitated by head coach Ian Gorowa who has worked with the player during his time at the Urban Warriors.

Reports are that Geyer has been showing tremendous work ethic at training and with Swallows’ defence leaking in goals in recent matches; the club has been open in saying that they are interested in bringing in a defender to reinforce the rearguard.

“Geyer made his debut at Ajax two seasons ago, but failed to make progress towards being a regular before he was injured.
