Glimmer of hope Ramudzuli

The former Black Leopards striker slipped down the pecking after Bibey Mutombo left the club, with new head coach Owen da Gama preferring to give younger guys like Excellent Walaza and Lebohang Mokoena a chance.

But Ramudzuli played a starring role in a recent friendly during the recent African Nations Cup break ¬ a performance he believes has given Da Gama food for thought.

“I’m confident because I have never failed at the club and have scored some crucial goals. I know coach Da Gama is aware of this, and when the time is right for me to play I will.”

Ramudzuli admits he was desperate to leave Pirates during the January transfer window. Leopards, Supersport United and Mpumalanga Black Aces were interested,¬ but management turned down the approaches.

“Yes, I wanted out after not playing for some time. I was about to approachthe powers-that-be at the club, but the news that I would not be let go showed me I am still part of their plans,” he says.
