This was revealed by Thanda manager Thabani Gumede, who said their newly-appointed technical advisor was not forced to sit on the bench.
“It’s entirely up to him whether he wants to sit on the bench or in the stands. But I can tell you for tomorrow’s clash, I will be on the bench as was the case during our previous clash against Santos at Mpumalanga,” said Gumede.
Igesund, who was recently fired by Mamelodi Sundowns as coach, was seen transferring instructions from his cellphone to Gumede just prior to Scara Ngobese coming on as a sub.
Coach Roger Palmgren and his assistant Johan Eriksson are still serving suspensions, which stems from their Black Leopards’ game two weeks ago.
Gumede revealed they were working hard at training to rectify the on-going problem of conceding early goals, which disrupts the team’s plan of unsettling the opposition by getting quick goals.
“We are expecting tough game from Wits since they have lost five of their games,” he added.
