Coach Sergio Dos Santos confirmed to snl24.com/kickoff that they are currently engaged in talks with some of the players agents in an endeavour to keep most of their players, however he conceded that Shaun Permall will not be staying with the team next season.
“We are talking to some of our players’ agents and I am sure that we will manage to hold onto most of them, except for Shaun Permall who has already indicated that he won’t be staying on.”
The First Division Coastal Stream club, who have already lost the services of midfielder Kurt Lentjies to Mamelodi Sundowns, are also likely to lose striker Bradley August who has indicated his intention of returning to the PSL next season.
Talking about the team’s overall performance over the past season, Dos Santos said even though they had higher expectations, they regard the season as a good foundation for their next campaign.
“We are happy that we managed to keep the team in the First Division and next year we are definitely looking forward to challenging for promotion to the PSL,” he added.
