Ikapa look to take another Free State scalp

Kick off is at 15h00.

An own goal from Celtic’s James Madidilani, as well as strikes from Bradley August and Kurt Lentjies, handed Ikapa a surprise win in the previous round and marked them as a team to watch.

The draw pitted them against Free State Stars and Ikapa will be eyeing another upset - Ea Lla Koto have been unimpressive recently, as the gloss of what has been a highly successful return to the top flight begins to dull slightly.

They were fortunate to come through the first round of the Nedbank Cup against Platinum Stars on penalties, but they haven’t won a league match for more than a month, losing their last two games to Kaizer Chiefs and Supersport United and conceding a whopping 10 goals in the process.

Ikapa themselves have been unimpressive in their Coastal Stream of the First Division, and they lost 0-4 to Bay United last Saturday, but the prospect of another giant killing in the Nedbank Cup will be all the motivation they need to give Stars a run for their money.
