The match was postponed after the pitch was waterlogged following torrential rain at Secunda this past weekend.
The fixture between African Warriors and Moroka Swallows at Charles Mopeli Stadium was also postponed due to bad weather conditions and although this fixture will be played at the same venue tomorrow (Wednesday), the Inspection FC and Black Leopards fixture has now been moved to Giyani, an alternate home venue of Black Leopards, upon which Inspection FC loedged their complaint today (Tuesday).
The PSL have since issued a statement which read as follows:
“Regarding the postponed Nedbank Cup Last 32 game between Inspection FC and Black Leopards to have been played on Sunday, 16 March 2008, at the Secunda Stadium, the league re-scheduled the fixture for Giyani on Saturday 22 March 2008.
“This after considering the match commissioner and referees reports which pointed out that the home team had not ensured that all aspects for a game of this nature to proceed had in fact been adhered to.
“Subsequent to the decision to take the game to Giyani, Inspection FC has lodged a complaint with the league opposing the decision.
“This matter will now be taken up further in the Cup Committee which will meet on Wednesday, 19 March 2008.
“The league will consider all information and evidence in this meeting and a final decision on this matter is expected after the Cup Committee meeting.”
