It's Ajax's attack versus Supersport's defence

The Urban Warriors lead their opponents by four points ahead of the clash, and a swing of three points in either direction could go a long way to deciding the destination of the League title.

Matsatsantsa have been in fine form since their early season troubles and will target this match as the chance to clearly state their ability to win the championship.

_quoteBut Ajax have shown remarkable character and resilience – and they have had their fair share of luck, ably demonstrated by David Obua’s late penalty miss in the 1-1 draw with Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday – meaning it would be no surprise if they managed to get a positive result in Atteridgeville.

Supersport drew away to BidVest Wits in their last outing, a positive result when one takes into account Wits’ above average record at home. But the hard running Ajax team will be a totally different test for Gavin Hunt’s young team.

Hunt explained the difference between Matsatsantsa and Urban Warriors on the club’s website.

“Ajax have scored some important goals at the right time this season and for me that has been the difference between the two sides.

“They play a very high pressure game, with a lot of speed and play very positive to try and win games all the time, which cannot be said for a lot of teams in the Absa Premiership.

“Our defence this season has been the best defence in the League and the statistics tell you that, but obviously we have got to start converting the chances that we are creating for players who get themselves in those scoring positions.

“If we had converted half the chances that we have created, we would certainly be at least six points clear,” Hunt concluded.

The two teams drew 0-0 in Cape Town earlier in the season and one can expect this meeting to be just as tightly contested.
