The attacking midfielder tells snl24.com/kickoff he is elated to be back in the Mother City after enduring a frustrating time in Gauteng with Jomo Cosmos, where he spent six months on the sidelines after waiting for his permanent residence to approved.

“It’s definitely good to be back in Cape Town, just look at the weather. The Mother City has always been good to me and I am hoping to continue where I left off when I was still at Santos.

“I wasn’t registered at Cosmos as I had applied for my permanent residence, but I have agreed with the club not to talk about my time with Ezenkosi.”

Selolwane also says that he has received a warm welcome at the Urban Warriors and explains how the move came about.

“I was still sorting things out with Cosmos when my agent called and told me that Ajax Cape Town were interested in my services. I came down and after about 20 minutes into my first training session with the team, I knew this was the club for me.

“The guys have been great, and my time with Ajax Cape Town thus far has been great. I have had a couple of friendlies with Botswana and with Ajax, but I need a little more time to get my fitness levels up to where I want it.

“I am sure I can do a job for the club and hopefully I can help them lift the Absa Premiership trophy at the end of the season,” he adds.
