Ncubeni helped his side to a hard-earned 1-1 draw at home to Pirates in the Absa Premiership.

“First of all, I would like to thank God and the coach for giving me this opportunity to play today. I think we played well, created a lot of chances and I’m happy we got one point,” Ncubeni told SuperSport TV.

The KZN-born and Argentine Emiliano Tade were instrumental in creating the equaliser finished off by the latter early on in the second half.

“Me and Tade we have that understanding and today it worked. We played one-touch football and managed to create that goal,” he said.

On instructions from the head coach Cavin Johnson, the nimble-footed player gave his all and is delighted with the opportunity handed down by the former Platinum Stars boss.

When asked if he was the most fouled player, he replied, “I think so, the coach gave me the opportunity to play and I did that today."
