Mourinho's vast experience and reputation as a master tactician for high profile fixtures have come into the spotlight over the past few days after a Twitter account Performance Analysis in Action posted an alleged scouting report he created before Chelsea's famous UEFA Champions League tie against FC Barcelona in the 2006/07 season.
It detailed the Blaugrana flaws of their possession style of play, potential weak points to target and a tactic to neutralise a teenage Messi - along with several other key points which can be read in the embedded post below.

"The reports are not mine. I did not write them. The last report I wrote I have it at home. I was in Barcelona and this was in the 1999/2000 season.
"I was assistant and I shared with other colleagues the responsibility of analysing and preparing documents about our opponents for the manager.
"Since I arrived at Benfica and until now my analysis never became official reports, but key ideas that helped me to prepare the training work and the matches planning.
Mourinho added: "Official reports were always done by analysts, assistants and computer technicians, but never by me."
It's now been revealed that former FC Porto and Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas was the author of the incredibly detailed report.
