KICK OFF presents: the Greatest Ever

accreditation

We start it off with the Greatest Ever World Cup Player, where you vote for your favourite star at football's greatest showpiece over the last 50 years.

You may not be too familiar with some of the older names, but believe us ... they were mega-stars in their day! You might also wonder why some of the modern superstars like Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are missing - but bear in mind they still have plenty to do at the World Cup ... some of the stars here played in four or five!

Of course we can't always please everyone, and there are only 32 spots available. That means the likes of Oliver Kahn, Marcel Desailly, Paolo Rossi, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Gabriel Batistuta, Bobby Charlton and Ronaldinho miss out.

HOW IT WORKS
Go to Greatest Ever, click on match-up, and vote for your favourite. There are short bios on each player, as well as a video of their top World Cup moment, so in case you don't know the player, you can go see him in action.

You vote each player through a round and up to the final. The eventual winner gets 10 points, the runner-up 8, semi-finalists 6, quarter-finalists 4, last 16 gets 2 and last 32 gets 1 point.

At the end of the month we can look at the leaderboard and see who you voted as the Greatest Ever World Cup Player!
