Kitenge upset by tabloid reports

The report alleges that the TRZ technical team is not happy with Kitenge’s performances in recent games and intend to use other minders for the remainder of the season.

Amabhubesi coach Roger Palmgren opted for Mandlenkhosi Tsengwa in goals when the Natalians played Moroka Swallows in the Absa Premiership match at Olen Park yesterday.

Kitenge tells snl24.com/kickoff that he will be meeting with the club manager Thabani Gumede today to establish whether there is any truth in the report.

“I’m very sad and shocked, my brother. I am going to the office today to meet Thabani to find out if it is true. I will talk to you again after meeting the manager.”

Kitenge is the second goalkeeper to come under severe criticism about his performances.

Bloemfontein Celtic’s Ugandan minder Posnett Omony was accused of donating three points to Orlando Pirates in their Absa Premiership match at Seisa Ramabodu Stadium last week Wednesday.

Omony was relegated to the bench on Saturday when Phunya Sele Sele went up against Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Stadium. His place was taken by veteran goalkeeper coach Simon Gopane.
