Disclosing this to Kick Off, Abafana Bes’thende coach Manqoba Mngqithi says he is still battling to get his players to come to terms with Madlala’s death.
“He was very close to the players and recruited most of them to the team. Rocky had an eye for talent and most of the players that he brought to the team have made it to national teams, at either junior or senior level.
“A humble, yet intelligent person, Rocky never spoke to the media about his achievements. He went about his business in a quiet, unassuming way and always conducted himself as a true professional. He will be greatly missed by all at the club.”
