There had been speculation that the biggest fixture in the South African soccer calendar would be played at the Absa Stadium in Durban where the two dished out a four-goal thriller that ended 2-2 in the first round.
The last time the two teams met at Mmabatho Stadium was in the semi final of the annual Telkom Charity Cup last August. The match ended 1-1 and was ultimately decided on penalties where Bucs won 3-1.
The Buccaneers led 1-0 at interval via a Lebohang Mokoena strike. Mokoena fired a shot that was deflected into an empty net by debutant Mokete Tsotetsi.
Tinashe Nengomasha forced the game to penalties with a great strike from outside the box.
