Mashaba gets two-year deal in Swaziland

accreditation

Mashaba, who has agreed on a two-year contract to coach Isihlangu Semnikati, was officially unveiled to the media at Sigwaca House in Mbabane on Wednesday.

Contrary to media reports that Mashaba will be joined by former Mpumalanga Black Aces coach Kenny Ndlazi, the Swazis have opted for local coaches Dumisa Mahlalela and Musa Zwane as Mashaba’s assistant coaches.

Speaking during a press conference yesterday, Swazi Football Association president Adam ‘Bomber’ Mthethwa said Mashaba will also extend his coaching expertise to the Swazi junior national teams.

Swaziland is currently doing well in the 2010 World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, occupying top position in Group 4 of the tournament.

Isihlangu play Togo in their next away Afcon qualifier and if they beat the Togolese they could qualify for the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Angola for the first time in their history.

“Isihlangu Semnikati is expected to go into camp next week at a venue yet to be announced,” said Mngomezulu.
