Merahe has been training with Ea Lla Koto for the past two weeks in an attempt to impress the technical team led by Themba Sithole.
Speaking to snl24.com/kickoff at the weekend, the former Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder says he is still waiting on his manager at ProSport International for feedback on his trials.
“I’ve been working hard during the two weeks I have spent with them, always giving my best. At this stage, I haven’t been told anything regarding the outcome of my trials.
“I pray this time that the opportunity will avail itself for me to revive my soccer career with Stars.”
Prosport’s Mickey Paiva tells snl24.com/kickoff that he will only be in a position on Wednesday to reveal the outcome of Merahe’s trial.
Meanwhile, another former Orlando Pirates player, Mpho Rashete, tells snl24.com/kickoff that he is still looking for a new team after being put on transfer by the Mighty Buccaneers at the beginning of the season.
Rashete is back at home in Tembisa training with Classic, where he made his name before the club was sold to new owners in Pietermaritzburg.
“I am training with Classic who play in the Vodacom League. I haven’t signed with them, but am just keeping myself fit while I look for a new team in the PSL or First Division,” he says.
