Minga arrived in Hong Kong before Christmas for talks with First Division outfit Bulova Rangers FC.
The former Manning Rangers and AmaZulu regular told KickOff.com that although he endured a boring Christmas he was looking forward to moving into a club apartment and opening contract talks this week.
Following his exit from Fidentia Rangers as a free agent earlier this year, Minga joined Indian club Mahindra United. Although he helped the club reach the final of a cup competition, both parties decided to part ways after finalising a settlement package.
Minga returned home to the DR Congo and after delays in acquiring a visa he eventually made his way to Hong Kong.
The 28-year-old, who played professionally in Gabon before arriving in South Africa, will feature for the second round of the league if he agrees to terms.
His potential signing with Rangers is viewed as a short-term step towards securing a lucrative move to the Chinese league.
